As Business Analysts, we should draw the picture of the digital future like an architect with all our curiosity, courage, facilitative and collaborative approach. The future is based on organizing more than managing, guiding more than directing, mentoring more than assigning. Our place is not behind the team but near the team! Exploring the new requirements as a synchronized team may be the key of our digital future. Techniques can get older, tools can stay old school, but the point is how you will create the energy and synergy for your projects in this changing world.
Who is Dilek Duman?
Dilek Duman is the Deputy General Manager of DenizBank. She started her career as a software engineer and joined Intertech as Technical Consultant. She later joined DenizBank Financial Services Group as the Information Technologies Group Manager. Later, Dilek worked as Intertech’s General Manager between 2004 and 2008. Since 2009, she is the COO of DenizBank in charge of Intertech and Banking Operations. Dilek received her Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University.
Who is Emel Arseven?
Emel Arseven graduated from METU in ’99 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. She also completed Executive MBA program from Sabanci University. Since 2000, she worked in various departments in Akbank such as Payment Systems, Product Development and Innovation, Akbank Academy and is currently working in Digital Banking as Senior Vice President. Arseven is responsible for digital channels and plays a vital role in Akbank’s digital transformation journey.
Who is Zehra Öney?
Zehra Öney, a futurist, mobile transformation specialist, investor, practitioner and speaker, was born in Istanbul in 1964, after her Economy education at Istanbul University, she had worked for 10 years in senior positions in Turkey’s leading agency in the tourism sector. Her carrier has continued as a Professional manager in telecommunications, mobile and digital areas in the last 15 years. Between 2002 and 2007 International Business Development at Turkcell, The European Union and The United States Relationships Director, between 2007 and 2011 Mobilera Inc. General Director and Mobilera BV Deputy General Manager.
Zehra Oney has founded her own agency, 360+ Media Interactive and she has been serving as Chairman of the Agency in 2011. In 2013, she introduced Turkey with augmented reality and visual search. Blippar is an augmented reality app that was founded in 2011 in London and have over 65 million member worldwide. Zehra Oney had been Blippar’s Turkey CEO and also a member of Blippar Global SMT (Senior Management Team) between 2014 – 2017. Currently, she continues to work as 360+ Media Interactive Founder & CEO.
After a 1.5-year preparation process she founded Women in Technology Association with more than 80 founding members in 31 January 2019. The Association’s goal is to create the diversity that needed in the world of science and technology and to create the Smart Technology Society, where technology and human power are fully exploited by eliminating the loss of motivation in women.
Zehra Oney is also Independent Board Member / Governors Committee of Dorçe Inc., MMA (Mobile Marketing Association) Turkey Board Member and Executive Committee Member, Bahçeşehir University Executive MBA Board Member, member of Turkey Association of Women Entrepreneurs (KAGİDER) and Lead Mentor of Startupbootcamp centered Turkish Mentor Movement, Mentor Effect platform. She is also an expert and executer on augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence, internet of things (IOT) and virtual reality (VR) applications on the areas of marketing and advertising.
Who is Meltem Uzuner?
Meltem Uzuner, an Industrial Engineer, a Master’s Degree Student in Industrial Engineering, Student Evaluator in MÜDEK and a Volunteer was born in 1997. In 2019-2020 Academic Year, she graduated with a high honour degree from the Deparment of Industrial Engineering at Baskent University. She took part as the Founding President in the establishment process of Baskent University Women Engineers Association. She was elected as the First Term President of the organization. The goal of the association is to raise awareness in the field of engineering, one of the technical fields with the lowest female representation, for women engineers to take their rightful place. From November to May, in the third and fourth years of her university education, she worked as an Intern Engineer in the Departments of Manufacturing and Management at the Turkish Aerospace Industry (TAI). Throughout her university life, she actively participated in various social responsibility projects. In addition, she has participated in various both national and international conferences, trainings and competitions such as 39th National Congress of Operations Research/Industrial Engineering, the 3rd Awarded Case Analysis Competititon and the Young Conversion Online Traning Program. She participated in the Business Analyst Training within the scope of the Young Conversion Online Traning Program, which was carried out in collaboration with the Women in Technology Association (WTECH) and Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TISK).
Who is Melis Bektaş?
Özen Melis Bektaş, was born in Istanbul in 1992. She graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, with a degree in Economics in 2016. She began her career as a branch operations officer in the Zincirlikuyu Branch at Denizbank. While she was in the banking sector, she decided she wanted to continue her career as a Business Analyst and quit her job. She started her master’s degree in Düzce University, the Institute of Social Sciences in the Department of Management Information Systems in 2018. Throughout her university life, she actively participated in various social responsibility projects. In 2020, she participated in the “Business Analyst Training Program” of the Women in Technology Association and completed the program in the first place. She is currently working as a Business Analyst at Intertech. Özen Melis Bektaş, who attaches importance to continuously developing herself, aims to be a successful Business Analyst in the future.
