About Aleš Štempihar

Ales has 25 years of project management and Business Analysis practical experience with over 100 finished projects. His advantage is comprehensive understanding and the 360-degree view of project management: customer view (value for customers), management view (benefit realization for companies), classical and agile project management view (different methodologies), business analysis view (business needs, business case, stakeholder analysis) and IT view (requirements, tools). Ales is CompTIA Project + certified project manager from 2006, a PMI and IPMA member and Agile Alliance member as well. He is a BA founder in Slovenia and the first and current IIBA Slovenia Chapter President. He is always looking ahead and thinking about the future of Project Management and Business Analysis, especially now in the digital economy.

In this session, we will first look at some main problems which classical Project Management and Agile have. Not to blame and recommended not to use them, but to analyze root causes, learn and upgrade them. So, Project Management needs a little help from other disciplines, especially from Business Analysis. We will introduce a new PM model with BA approaches, which is more suitable for a digital economy. The model is a combination of Design Thinking, Agile, classical PM and Business Analysis. We are looking forward to hearing your feedback.
