We know that the decade we are in will be permanently transformational. It’s not just the pandemic – although the pandemic has certainly changed work and sharpened focus on enterprise outcomes. There are other key trends – like the evolution from project-centric to product-centric work and thinking. IIBA has also started what we intend will be an ongoing commitment to action-oriented research on key interrelationships between business analysis and critical business drivers, starting with two important thematic areas: data analytics and agility. We’ll discuss some of our learning and the implications for our work and the future of our profession.
Who is Delvin Fletcher?
Delvin Fletcher is currently the President and CEO of the International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®). Prior to joining IIBA he served as Chief Information Officer with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) since 2017. He has a background in membership associations, information systems, public accounting, government, and not-for-profits. Delvin also brings experience from Ethoca Technologies, Xchange Technology Group, Sap Canada, Shred-it International and other prominent organizations where he acted in senior leadership roles.
Delvin embodies what it is to be a business analyst: skilled at listening and possessing the breadth of skills needed to deliver business outcomes.
Delvin Fletcher, President and Chief Executive Officer, IIBA
Delvin Fletcher joined IIBA as President and Chief Executive Officer to lead our dynamic, growing, global organization in January 2020. Delvin comes to us most recently from Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario where he was CIO and led digital transformation in a complex membership and regulatory not-for-profit. He spent his early professional years with KPMG Management Consulting serving on strategy, marketing, technology and operations projects in North America and EMEA. He has served in leadership roles with both multinationals and high growth privately held companies, including SAP and Shred-it International as well as entrepreneurial ventures, interim leadership roles and not-for-profit organizations, including Ethoca Limited, where he was CIO and Xchange Technology Group where he was COO responsible for global IT, HR, operations and professional services. He holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto and is both a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
